Table of Contents
Thank you for using one of our custom Divi section layouts. This guide explains how to properly import section-based layouts into your website using the Divi Theme.
Unlike full-page layouts, section layouts are designed to be used as modular blocks within existing pages. You’ll need to import these using the Divi Library, not directly into a page.
Requirements
Make sure the following is ready before starting:
- You have the Divi Theme installed and activated on your website.
How to Install Divi Theme - You’re logged into your WordPress dashboard.
- You have access to the Divi Builder and Divi Library.
Step 1: Unzip the Download Package (if applicable)
If you received the layout as a .zip
file:
- Extract it on your computer.
- Locate the
.json
file inside (e.g.,cta-section.json
,hero-section.json
).
Step 2: Import the Section via Divi Library
- Go to your WordPress Dashboard.
- Navigate to Divi → Divi Library.
- Click the “Import & Export” button at the top.
- Go to the Import tab.
- Click “Choose File” and select the
.json
section file. - (Optional) Enable Override Existing if you’re replacing an older version.
- Click “Import Divi Builder Layouts”.
The section will now appear in your Divi Library.
Step 3: Add the Section to a Page
- Open any page with the Divi Builder.
- Click the “+” button to add a new section.
- Choose “Add From Library”.
- Select the section you imported (e.g.,
Hero Section
,Roadmap Block
, etc.). - The section will be inserted into your page.
Important Notes
Do not import section
.json
files directly into a row or module. This may cause errors or broken layouts. Always import into the Divi Library first, then insert as a full section.
If your layout pack includes individual sections, use this guide for sections only. For full layouts, refer to the Layout Import Guide.
You can reuse imported sections on multiple pages.
