Thank you for choosing one of our custom Divi layouts! This guide will walk you through the process of importing and using your layout on any WordPress website using the Divi Theme.
Whether you’re using a homepage, landing page, about section, or any other layout — the process is the same.
Requirements
Before importing the layout, make sure:
- You have Divi Theme installed on your website. How to Install Divi Theme
- You have access to the Divi Builder and a working WordPress site.
Step 1: Unzip the Download Package (if zipped)
If you received a .zip
file containing the layout:
- Extract the file to your computer.
- Inside, look for a file ending with
.json
(e.g.,layoutname.json
). This is the layout file.
Step 2: Create or Edit a Page
- In your WordPress Dashboard, go to Pages > Add New (or edit an existing page).
- Click “Use Divi Builder”.
- Choose “Build From Scratch” or “Start Building”.
Step 3: Import the Layout
- Inside the Divi Builder, click the “Portability” icon at the bottom (the up/down arrows).
- Go to the Import tab.
- Click “Choose File” and select the
.json
layout file from your computer. - Make sure “Replace Existing Content” is checked if you want to start fresh.
- Click “Import Divi Builder Layout”.
Step 4: Customize the Layout
Once imported, the full layout will load on the page. You can now:
- Replace text, images, and icons with your own content.
- Modify sections using the Divi Builder’s drag-and-drop interface.
- Add or remove sections as needed.
Step 5: Save and Publish
- Click the “Save” button (bottom right).
- Exit the visual builder.
- Click “Publish” or “Update” your page to go live.
Important Note
You can import sections individually using the Divi Library if they are provided separately. Some of our layout packs are designed as individual sections and should be imported into the Divi Library as sections, not full-page layouts.
